✨ Sound Galaxy Reflection
- Great energy!
- Favorite Sound Galaxy workshop Matthew’s ever hosted :D
- ~60-70 ppl there
- Not very overcrowded
- Didn’t turn anyone away :)
Check out some of the Sound Galaxy Hacks!
🌝 Hack Night!
-
“Everyone get in a room and build a project!” / Basically like a “mini hackathon”
-
Potential Brainstorming Session (Ideas by Nivedha / Brianna)
- Help people who don’t know where to start:
- Forum (possibly
#
🚢ship
) / “Find a Group”!
- Whiteboard w/ emails
- Give them a couple of options on what to do within the [time period]
-
HowTo GitHub Documentation (Idea by Willy)
- Very helpful for people who want to work in teams
-
Fridays vs. Other Days
- “People won’t attend if it’s a Friday Night”
- People will still attend regardless
- People tend to be busy during the week
- Exams, homework, other commitments, “class the next day”
- Lots of people have already expressed excitement! 🥳
- “What day works for you” Form
- After the first event (better to book the room than wait for people)
-
Food and Fundraising
- Currently depending on our Bank Account
- Sponsorships pls 🙏
- Possibly contact nearby restaurants like Mad Mush, Jimmy John’s, etc
TL;DR:
Our first Hack Night will be Friday, Sept. 16th @ 6:30PM to whenever we get kicked out :)
